Privacy notice
We collect the minimum we need to contact the people who register with KOTF. This notice explains exactly what that is.

Who is responsible
KOTF (Kenny Otesile Tech Fellowship) decides why and how the personal details collected through this website are used. To ask about them, use the contact page.
What we collect
When you register, the form collects:
- your first name, last name, and email address;
- the areas that interest you and, if you choose to give them, where you are starting from and a short note about what you want to work on;
- your agreement to this notice, recorded with the date and the version of the notice you agreed to;
- a one-way, keyed hash of your network (IP) address. We use it only to limit repeated submissions, and it cannot be turned back into your address.
We store only a one-way hash of each verification link, never the link itself. Unverified registrations stay in our records until you verify or ask us to delete them; we review them at least once a year.
We do not collect payment details, passwords, or accounts, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
- to send you a link to verify your email address;
- to email you about activities and opportunities to take part;
- to understand who is interested in KOTF, and in which areas;
- to protect the form from abuse.
The basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who handles your details
Your details are stored in a PostgreSQL database provided by Neon, this website is hosted by Vercel, and our verification emails are sent through Resend. They process data on our behalf and under their own security and data-protection terms. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else.
How long we keep them
We keep your details while you remain interested, and delete them when you ask. We review what we hold at least once a year and delete details we no longer need.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent. Write to us from the address you registered with, using the contact page. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Cookies and server logs
This website does not set cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as request times and network addresses, for security and reliability.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes. We will not use your details for anything materially different without asking you first.
